Kitchen Hood Inspector Description: Our San Diego, CA, office has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Hood Inspector in our Inspections Department. Job Expectations: This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Kitchen Hood System Inspector performs a broad range of maintenance, repair, and installation support, also incorporating inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of kitchen hood suppression systems. Preparing reports according to NFPA & UFC standards. Troubleshoot and perform system repairs. Additional job duties include assisting in the servicing, inspecting and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to the prescribed standards, performing some on-site troubleshooting and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely inspections and reports. Desired Skills and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Investigation and Drug Test Minimum of two (2) years of related experience with Hood Suppression Systems Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Ability to lift, measure, cut, install materials for small service/repair jobs
