LOCATION: Quantico, VA

POSITION TIMING: TBD; pending contract award

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Top-Secret required

Responsibilities

    Network Administration & Maintenance:Configure, manage, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Routing & Switching:Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, implementing network configurations and VLANs as needed.
  • Network Security:Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewall configurations, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:Monitor network traffic, analyze performance metrics, and optimize network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, coordinating with internal teams to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • System Updates & Patch Management:Apply firmware updates, security patches, and software upgrades to Cisco networking devices to ensure compliance and security.
  • Documentation & Compliance:Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation to support compliance with government security standards.
  • Collaboration & Support:Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to support enterprise-wide network operations and ensure connectivity meets organizational needs.


Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance
  • A minimum of 5 years' of professional experience in Information Technology or a directly related field, preferred; In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
  • Cisco Network Administration
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication within a team and with end users, VIPs, team managers, and client managers
  • Proven ability to perform job duties independently with minimal oversight, and ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Experience in scientific/forensic applications is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement customers, preferably FBI.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
