GOVERNMENT AGENCY: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) - Laboratory Division

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

ITC Federal is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities

    System Administration & Maintenance: Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Cloud & Virtualization Management: Manage and support cloud services in AWS and Azure, as well as virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and Citrix.
  • Storage & Backup Solutions: Administer NetApp, Dell Unity, and Dell Avamar storage and backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols, including patch management and system updates using WSUS, BigFix, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to meet government security standards.
  • Incident & Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolution using tools such as Ivanti, Microsoft Service Manager, and Atlassian for ticket tracking and workflow management.
  • Database & Application Support: Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring proper integration with enterprise applications.
  • Automation & DevOps Support: Utilize Azure DevOps for system automation, deployment, and infrastructure management.


Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance
  • A minimum of 5 year' of professional experience in Information Technology or a directly related field, preferred; In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
  • Experience in AWS, Microsoft, Windows Server, Citrix, NetApp, Dell Unity, Dell Avamar, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Ivanti, Microsoft Service Manager, Atlassian, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, and BigFix.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise hardware, software, and peripherals, specifically Microsoft Office products; and experience providing IT support to users via phone, email, and/or in person
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Windows 10, basic networking concepts, PC hardware, and COTS software
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication within a team and with end users, VIPs, team managers, and client managers
  • Proven ability to perform job duties independently with minimal oversight, and ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, service-oriented environmen

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Certifications in lieu of degree include but not limited to: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, CASP+, etc.
  • Experience in scientific/forensic applications is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement customers, preferably FBI.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
