About the Position

Dexis is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to support a US Government Agency.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support services to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. This includes services such as procurement and contracting, physical security, emergency management, property management, records and administration, space renovation, supplies and office equipment management, transportation, mail distribution, and desktop publishing.

Work is primarily performed at the DFC office in Washington, DC. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Assist in the organization of activities such as meetings, conferences, workshops, round-table discussions, focus group discussions, and similar activities.
  • Support with routine administrative and clerical duties such as filing, encoding, photocopying, binding, and similar tasks.
  • Perform various administrative functions to ensure the efficient flow of office operations, to include but not limited to, managing the reception and meeting areas, receiving visitors and attending to their requirements, receiving messages and channeling these to intended recipients and other related functions.
  • Manage communication systems, such as phone and administrative email inboxes, receive and channel calls when appropriate, and relay written and verbal messages to the intended recipients.
  • Assist with inventory management and custodianship functions, including entering new equipment and furniture in the property inventory.
  • Assist in the performance of basic procurement functions to include, but not limited to identifying, sourcing, and procuring materials and services in accordance with DFC procurement regulations.
  • Perform other tasks, duties and functions as may be assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in administration, management, finance, office operations or other related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administration and communications.
  • Excellent knowledge of administrative tasks essential for an office of similar capacity.
  • Functional and apparent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Functional command of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Public Trust level security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with development finance institutions (DFIs).
  • Familiarity with the use of PowerPoint is preferred.
