Lubbock Director - Finance and Administration 40115BR Visual and Perform Arts Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgement. The Director of Finance and Administration is a member of the college's leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of TCVPA, including budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations. The position requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, analytical skills, and a strategic mindset to support the goals of the college. This individual will coordinate with the college's business managers, work closely with departmental leaders, and report directly to the Dean of the college. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Director of Finance and Administration to join the administrative team of the JT & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts (TCVPA). This role is pivotal in ensuring the college operates efficiently and effectively, overseeing financial operations, and contributing to the strategic decision-making process. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
