Overview

CAES is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to work at our San Jose, CA facility. Join our highly skilled San Jose team to develop and manufacture advanced microwave and millimeter wave subsystems, hybrid modules and components for defense electronics customers.


Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-seal and final inspections of hybrid and surface mount technology (SMT) products.
  • Inspection of microwave circuits will be in accordance with the requirements of hybrid workmanship standards based on MIL-STD-883, Method 2017. In addition, some products include printed wiring assemblies requiring inspection per IPC-A-610.
  • Must utilize a microscope for inspection at 10X-70X magnification and perform detailed piece part inspections at 400X-600X magnification. Capably use tools during inspections including tweezers for handling small parts.
  • Interpret Documents and Drawings for inspection requirements
  • Effectively communicate to peers and internal customers through both verbal and written methods.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • 4+ years of experience in related position.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • MIL-STD-883 Certified
  • IPC-A-610 Certified
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented mind-set
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary Range: $27.00 - $32.00 hourly (Level III). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
