Pay: $90,000 - $120,000

Position

The Production Manager provides leadership and direction to ensure efficient and uniform manufacturing operations that will meet customer expectations. Develops policies, processes and systems that ensure a high level of quality, productivity and safety, while ensuring on time delivery of products.

Production Manager will:

* Provides direction and coordinates the operations of the manufacturing floor, and has consistent communication with other departments on needs, priorities and issues.

* Organizes programs to plan, schedule, support, and improve manufacturing efforts and enhances value-add operations while reducing and eliminating non-value-added activities.

* Maintain a production facility in which cleanliness, quality, and safety are second to none.

* Leads regular communications with the team pertaining to company and department performance, with the goals of improving throughput and reducing waste.

* Coaches, mentors and develops team to investigate the root cause for scrap and RMA issues; works with teams, including engineering and quality to establish corrective actions and prevent recurrences.

* Reduces variation in the work environment through the implementation of Lean tools including 5S tools, Kanban, standard work, etc. Develops standard work for departmental processes. Reviews work instructions through change request process with the goal of standardization.

* Sets benchmarks and standards, and guides the improvement of quality standards of products produced in the shop.

* Plans, develops, facilitates, and implements continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Applied technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing.

* Demonstrated skills and understanding of continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, on-time delivery, cost, and quality of products.

* Ability to apply advanced leadership skills to coach, mentor, develop and foster high-performing and engaged teams.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community of customers and employees at all levels.

* Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, plans, and specifications.

* Ability to read and write manufacturing reports and correspondence.

* Capacity to comprehend detailed and complex information and ideas, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Ability to effectively communicate and deliver information to managers, supervisors, and subordinates using various methods of communication (telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in-person).

* Ability to multi-task, follow-through, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Capacity to work under pressure while maintaining perspective.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Strong operational thinking that moves the organization's vision and goals to successful implementation.

* Advanced and demonstrated leadership skills that are aligned to our company core values.

Education:

Bachelor Degree or 4-year technical degree in manufacturing field.

Equivalent experience may be used in lieu of above requirement.

Preferred Experience:

* Five years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a lean manufacturing environment.

* Three or more years of progressive experience in Operations or Program Management.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge of MRP system strongly desired.

Intermediate Skill level with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
