Job Summary Oversees and directs all aspects of estimating for many different manufacturing business units to include but not limited to: Hot Mix, Crushed/Washed/Screened Aggregates Ready Mix and Pre-Cast Concrete.Prepares project status reports, schedules, margins and works to ensure products adhere to contract specifications. Must have knowledge in Alaska DOT&PF, USACE, private utilities and alternative delivery construction projects, along with knowledge in Hot Mix, Ready Mix, Aggregate and Pre-Cast material specifications. Main Responsibilities & Duties Analyze drawings to identify precast concrete components and their dimensions and quantities. Quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for precast concrete fabrication and production. Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to internal stakeholders and clients. Monitor/control production through administrative direction of managers/engineers/foreman to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. Education & Requirements 5 to 7 years' estimating experience on Alaska DOT&PF, USACE and utility projects 3 to 5 years supervising field construction of private work Engineering degree, 4 year college degree and/or 5-7 years of construction experience Physical Requirements Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines Regularly required to communicate (talk, provide presentations and hear) Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms Standing/working on feet for long periods Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements Proven track record working safely Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
