Summary

The MIL Corporationis seeking aLogistician (Logistics, Senior Analyst)to provideon-site life-cycle logistics planning and support to the Department of the Navy with acquisitionof technologies andsystems for naval aviation. The Logistician will support a federal government client at Webester Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, MD.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 2 days on-site per week. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support logistics planning, coordination and evaluation of actions required to sustain surveillance and communications systems and other designated programs.

  • Develop life cycle logistics policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the review and development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) / Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program plans.

  • Conductanalysis of systems acquisition requirements.

  • Process and monitor MILSTRIP requisitions submitted via ERP software.

  • Research bills of materials to identify National Stock Numbers (NSN) and manufacturer part numbers for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) items.

  • Assess availability of parts and components and monitor shipping status to ensure on-time arrival of required material.

  • Support parts obsolescence management through monitoring and reporting of critical parts and components impacted by diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).

  • Conduct analysis and develop recommendations for establishment and modifications to readiness-based sparing models.

Travel

Up to 5%, as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience of progressive DoD/military or other government agency's Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities

  • Ability to assess and analyze the ongoing logistical functions of a firm or organization

  • Knowledge of the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources

  • Familiarity of acquisition life cycle logistic requirements for hardware and software associated with Naval Aviation and communications systems

  • Experience working at a customer site or government facility

  • Experience submitting MILSTRIP requisitions via Navy ERP

  • Must be familiar with DLA FEDLOG, PUBLOG or WEBFLIS applications

  • Experience in supply chain management

  • Experience in DoD aviation maintenance planning

Desired Qualifications

  • 7 years' experience of progressive DoD/military or other government agency's Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities.

  • Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certification or equivalent

  • Familiarity of WASP inventory database

  • Experience with logistics support in hardware and software equipment and materials used in naval aviation surveillance and communications systems.

  • Experience working full-time at a government customer site or facility

  • Current Secret clearance

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or applicable technical discipline; Master's degree in business, Logistics or applicable technical discipline is desired. Logistics background and years of logistics experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Clearance

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $ 89,000 - $ 100,000 per year.
