Here's the Deal:

We are looking for an experienced professional in taxation with expertise in income tax compliance, tax reporting, and strategic tax planning. The Sr. Tax Specialist will ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, manage tax liabilities, and optimize financial processes to support Maersk's global operations.

This role requires a strong understanding of tax law provisions, financial records management, and ERP systems. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to analyze tax implications, oversee month-end tax processes, and implement improvements in tax compliance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate calculation, filing, and reporting of tax liabilities for domestic and international operations

  • Interpret tax laws, assess risks, and provide recommendations to optimize compliance and tax efficiency

  • Maintain tax records, document transactions, and support tax-related financial reporting

  • Work closely with internal teams and external tax advisors to manage tax-related inquiries and compliance processes

  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of tax operations and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations

  • Also get involved or drive, if necessary, Web Application Development, API Development or Cloud Platforms

  • Lastly you will Enable, Support and Govern relevant strategic initiatives that are driven across Business Units (GSC, Areas and Platforms)

The Basics:

  • Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field

  • Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in tax-related roles, preferably in multinational companies

  • Software: ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Excel (intermediate to advanced level)

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance processes, and financial reporting

  • English Level: B2- C1 (Practical functionality in an international business environment)

  • Attention to Detail - Ensuring accuracy in tax filings and financial reporting
