Emergency Management Evaluations Task Leader

Your Opportunity

TechSource is hiring a full-time Emergency Management Evaluations Task Leader to support the Department of Energy Office of Enterprise Assessments (DOE-EA). DOE-EA performs independent assessments for DOE senior leadership that report on whether national security material and information assets are appropriately protected and whether Departmental operations provide for the safety of its employees and the public. These assessments provide compliance and performance feedback to DOE leadership, Congress, and senior managers, ensuring effective program implementation. EA also offers a "rapid response" capability to quickly evaluate and address urgent security, safety, and operational concerns. You will work onsite at DOE's Forrestal building in Washington, DC. This is a proposal we're pursuing.

What You Will Do

• Lead and conduct emergency management evaluations and prepare written reports, including process improvement recommendations.
• Schedule assessments, select team members, task team members, and establish milestones for the team.
• Provide technical input to solve complex problems faced by federal and line management regarding emergency management and security operations/response programs.
• Some travel will be required (30%).

What You Will Need

• Active DOE Q or Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, public health, public policy, or other related field.
• 15 years of government or commercial experience, with at least 10 years of emergency operations experience.
• 5 years of experience conducting emergency management assessments.
• Experience in emergency management systems, including emergency operations centers, emergency planning, emergency preparedness, emergency response, and interfaces between emergency management and security operations and response.
• Detailed knowledge of DOE missions, sites, operations, facilities, and organizational roles and responsibilities. DOE/NNSA or DoD program experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
