Make banking a Fifth Third better GENERAL FUNCTION: The Early Career Extern provides support as directed through assignments within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) while receiving exposure to the broader organization. Externs integrate into the organization through day-to-day activities and project/program work. Externs operate as team members on larger initiatives, but also work independently on smaller projects and tasks. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. This externship program is structured in a 10-week format over the course of the summer.This externship helps students gain meaningful work experience and targeted educational opportunities to develop as future organizational leaders and get exposure to multiple business areas. Gain on-the-job skills and an understanding of the real-life work environment, while developing a professional network that includes some of the best talent in the industry.
