Loan Administrator I at AgTrust Farm Credit

AgTrust Farm Credit is seeking a full-time Loan Administrator. This role will be located in one of our New Mexico offices. Our association is headquartered in Ft. Worth, TX and has offices in Albuquerque, Roswell, Las Cruces, and Clovis, NM. As a Loan Administrator you will answer phone calls, greet and welcome visitors, be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and entry-level support in the origination, processing, and servicing of agricultural loans while working under moderate supervision. Your position represents AgTrust to the public. You will assist in AgTrust's local effort to be the preferred provider of agricultural financial services.

Day-to-day Duties:



  • Develops and organizes loan applicant information for review and analysis by loan officers and inputs pertinent loan date into credit delivery system.
  • Assists with the closing of loans by ensuring loan documents are accurate and file is complete.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring loan portfolio with payment processing, servicing, and customer relations.
  • Answers customer inquiries and resolves routine issues. Fosters good member/public relations by providing customer service that exceeds customers' expectations.
  • Complies with Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) and Association technology and security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications:



  • 0-2 years of experience in loan support operations.
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial systems.
  • General knowledge of office equipment and systems used for the storage and retrieval of business information.
  • General knowledge of standard records management and file classification practices.
  • General knowledge of title insurance, crop insurance and credit life insurance documentation.
  • General knowledge of documentation requirements for title policies, deeds of trust, and collateral.
  • Specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles. Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Basic software skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ability to quickly learn new software systems.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction as directed and provide feedback in a respectful, business-appropriate manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines, with the ability to adapt within a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) required.
  • Customer service experience and skill with a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload.
  • Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively with all levels of management as well as with outside vendors.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must have an acceptable record, valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and a reliable vehicle.


Working Conditions and Physical Effort:



  • This position has repetitive hand and arm motions and prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, listen, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as using a keyboard/typing and handling of equipment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Prolonged exposure to a computer screen
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate
  • Must be able to travel (5%) within the metropolitan and surrounding area for company meetings and trainings
