Position Summary:

Yeshiva University invites applications for the position of tenured University Professor in mathematics. The successful candidate is a distinguished scholar, teacher, and mentor with an extensive record of peer-reviewed publications and grant-funded research.

Reporting directly to the Provost, the University Professor embodies the ideals of expansive, open-ended inquiry, teaching, and mentorship of students across Yeshiva University's mathematics programs at the Katz School of Science and Health (MA/MS, PhD), Stern College for Women (BA), and Yeshiva College (BA).

Maintaining an active research agenda, the successful candidate will contribute to Yeshiva University's growing intellectual community in the field of mathematics and is encouraged to advance interdisciplinary collaborations with other STEM departments. The University Professor embodies academic excellence and a deep commitment to Yeshiva University's mission and values.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, research, and mentorship in mathematics and interdisciplinary STEM areas at the BA, MA/MS, and PhD levels
  • Service in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives


Experience & Education Background:

  • A PhD in mathematics
  • Extensive experience in teaching and mentorship in institutions of higher education
  • Record of teaching and research worthy of tenure as full professor

  • Excellence in research, teaching, and mentorship
  • A collaborative orientation enabling an active role in departmental and university service

Salary Range: $150,000-$220,000
