Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Manager to lead and enhance our electronics manufacturing capabilities. This role oversees production, compliance, personnel, and operations within our Technology Integration and Prototyping Center (TIPC), supporting commercial, aerospace, and defense projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of electronics manufacturing, including PCB and wire harness fabrication.
• Oversee production workflows, technical estimates, and lab operations.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100D, ISO14001, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive process improvements, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other industry standards.
• Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and cost estimation for manufacturing projects.

Job Requirements

• Requires advanced experience and knowledge of production operations and activities as would normally be obtained by 7 or more years of progressively responsible and complex production management experience.
• Proven experience in electronics prototyping, PCB assembly, and cable/harness fabrication.
• Expertise in manufacturing project management, production metrics, and quality control.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety program implementation.
• Certifications in IPC J-STD-001, IPC-WHMA-620, IPC-7711/7721, IPC-A-610.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and reading electrical schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in a technical discipline with 10+ years in electronics manufacturing OR A.S./technical training with 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in business development, capital investment planning, and proposal support.
• Knowledge of ISO14001 environmental standards and compliance.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, ECI M1 MES, and manufacturing project planning.
• Familiarity with defense/aerospace industry regulations (ITAR, DFARS, MIL-STD).

Workplace safety is a priority at Torch. Candidates must receive and present an OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry certification (either a card from the Department of Labor or certificate of completion from an authorized trainer) within the first 90 days of employment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed training prior to employment. Training may be completed online.
