DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Park Maintenance Worker at Ricketts Glen State Park, you will play a vital role in the construction and maintenance operations throughout the park. You will take charge of daily tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and contribute to larger projects. Your key duties will involve maintaining the Falls Trail in the Glens Natural Area by skillfully repairing roadways and constructing footbridges, culverts, and retaining walls. Additionally, you will ensure the integrity of park buildings through repairs and perform essential landscape maintenance tasks, such as mowing, litter collection, and drain cleaning. Your responsibilities will also encompass site preparation, seeding, planting trees and shrubs, general cleaning, and executing minor facility repairs. Your efforts will directly enhance the beauty and functionality of Ricketts Glen State Park. Interested in learning more? - Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately March through November at which time the employee is placed on leave without pay.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with two consecutive days off each week; 37.5 hours per week
- Weekends and holidays are required for certain positions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
