We are currently seeking a Documentation QC Specialist to join our dynamic team, dedicated to advancing healthcare technology in the government sector.

Job Summary:

The Documentation QC Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Electronic Health Records (EHR) update project at the US Coast Guard Headquarters. This position requires performing quality assurance tasks by comparing paper and digital health records to ensure their accuracy, completeness, and proper reconciliation within the Healthcare Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a page-by-page comparison between the original paper files and the final digitized records uploaded to HAIMS by DLA/VASTEC.
  • Address discrepancies in page numbers caused by the removal of section separators in the raw scanned files, ensuring alignment between original and digitized records.
  • Identify missing records by comparing site-specific records inventories with the projected list of patients assigned to each location.
  • Thoroughly compare patient lists to identify and document missing records, ensuring that all necessary records are accounted for.
  • Perform additional quality assurance tasks as required to support the project and improve record integrity.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and report findings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Previous experience in Health IT, or a similar role working with HAIMS, is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A current CAC card or Public Trust clearance is a plus.
