YOUR IMPACT


Account Management is looking for a self-starter to join our vibrant Salt Lake City team. The core work flow consists of team members liaising with various internal business partners and external clients to ensure the timely and accurate account opening and maintenance of a variety of account types. This includes partnering with Middle Office teams, Core Operational Areas, the Client Implementation team and on occasion with Legal and Compliance in support of the Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage, Derivative Clearing Services and Futures businesses. Team members also have the opportunity to contribute to various projects and efficiency initiatives in partnership with local and global internal collaborators, including our Technology teams.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • The Account Management team supports Goldman Sachs Institutional Americas account opening, maintenance and client data quality management
  • The work Account Management performs is critical and must adhere to strict regulatory and policy requirements as this function has very material impact on downstream functions (trade processing, regulatory and tax reporting, Anti-Money Laundering monitoring among others)
  • Key to Account Management team members' success is the ability to use critical thinking to balance tight control requirements with the service demands of our internal clients
  • New account opening and maintenance across business lines
  • Support and execution of on-going projects initiatives including new regulatory requirements and new business markets


Skills:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Critical thinking / thought leadership / ability to suggest improvements and "hunt" for risk
  • Service orientation, sense of urgency, ability to manage internal clients' expectations, follow- through and professionalism
  • Strives in a teamwork environment, strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • New account and operational / reconciliation experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as proficiency with web-based applications
