Medical Equipment Planner

Inova Health System is looking for a dedicated Medical Equipment Planner to join the team. This role is Full-time working 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, HYBRID.

Medical Equipment Planner Job Responsibilities:

• Understands the architectural design process through all phases - programming, schematic design, design development, construction document development, procurement, construction administration and field coordination, installation and logistics.
• Evaluates, locates and recommends equipment to be purchased for new medical facilities, major renovations and expansion of existing medical facilities.
• Evaluates existing medical equipment and related systems with respect to age, condition and technological status to determine the potential for reuse.
• Develops and coordinates all related deliverables to include but not limited to medical equipment reports and drawings, specification documents, vendor site specific drawings and project schedules.
• Works with architectural consultants and contractors to review drawings, identify and note design/equipment conflicts and work to reconcile drawings to functionality, and provide equipment specifications.
• Partners with Operations teams (Clinical and Biomed) regarding training, service contracts, and maintenance requirements of equipment.
• Facilitates equipment procurement activities, including developing a procurement schedule, soliciting and analyzing vendor quotes, issuing bids, making recommendations, reviewing requisitions, inputting purchase orders, and other activities that may be contracted as part of procurement assistance services.

Medical Equipment Planner Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Full-time working 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, HYBRID
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, architecture, healthcare, or other related field.
• Experience: 3 years of experience with medical equipment, plan drawings and working with architects, consultants and contractors.
