HVAC Technician

• Review system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine the configuration and purpose of HVAC components.
• Inspect and test system components to ensure compliance with plans, detect malfunctions, and verify proper operation.
• Operate and adjust HVAC equipment, including compressors, pumps, valves, and controls, to maintain optimal system performance.
• Monitor the Energy Management System, respond to alarms, and address temperature complaints from associates.
• Perform repairs by dismantling malfunctioning systems, replacing defective parts, and installing necessary components such as wiring, ducts, and pipes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, lubricate equipment, and ensure proper airflow requirements for buildings.
• Maintain inventory, organize tools and supplies, complete required paperwork, and attend training sessions to stay updated on HVAC advancements.

• HS Diploma or certification from a technical school, with 10+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and Universal Recovery Certification.
• Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification, including Type I (Small Appliances), Type II (High & Very High-Pressure Appliances), and Type III (Low Pressure Appliances).
• Certified to operate forklifts and aerial lift equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedural documents, with effective communication skills for reporting and presentations.
• Proficient in basic math operations, problem-solving, and applying logical reasoning to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
