DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Park Maintenance Worker at Keystone State Park, you will be an essential part of our team, providing vital support in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all visitors. Your role as a semi-skilled manual laborer will involve successfully managing various construction and maintenance tasks throughout the park and expertly operating and maintaining the necessary vehicles and equipment.
You will confidently take charge of daily operations, demonstrating your ability to work independently while contributing significantly to larger projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the integrity of park buildings through effective repairs and carrying out crucial landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, litter collection, and drain cleaning. Additionally, you will be involved in site preparation, seeding, planting trees and shrubs, general cleaning, and executing minor facility repairs. Your contributions will play a key role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of Keystone State Park for everyone to enjoy.

- Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from March through November.
- Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
- Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position require possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
