Position Title: Temporary HR Generalist

Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced and adaptable HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary basis. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with managers and employees to support key HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Responsibilities:
  • Act as an HR business partner to site leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Manage onboarding for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the company.
  • Support recruitment efforts for direct labor roles, partnering with hiring managers to meet production and operational needs.
  • Provide expertise in employee relations, serving as a resource for HR policies, issue resolution, and workplace best practices.
  • Oversee performance evaluation programs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in employee development.
  • Administer compensation processes and assist in leave administration (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist in coordinating employee recognition programs and special HR initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and benefit programs (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in HRIS systems and record-keeping.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
