Scope of Work:
We are seeking an experienced and professional Pilot with a current Boeing 737NG type rating to join our team. The instructor pilot will ensure the safe and efficient operation of flights, adhering to all company policies, aviation regulations, and operational procedures. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to customer pilots on the operation of the Boeing 737NG aircraft as required by the customer.
- Ability to Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Boing 737NG aircraft as required by the customer.
- Conduct pre-flight planning, including weather assessment, fuel requirements, and route analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations.
- Coordinate with ground crew, air traffic control, and dispatch to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections to verify airworthiness.
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) multiengine land airplane certificate and instrument rating, unless the pilot was a former military pilot and, in such case, may possess a Commercial Multi Engine Land Airplane (not limited to centerline thrust) and instrument rating.
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and meet pilot in command experience requirements per 14 CFR 61.57 and 61.58.
- Shall possess an FAA issued B737 Type rating and have a current FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate, and Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII), and a Multi-Engine Flight Instructor (MEI) ratings
- Current with 14 CFR part 61 subpart G for the Boeing 737-800 aircraft in order to exercise privileges of 14 CFR 61.167.
- Minimum 2,500 hours of flight time of which 750 hours were acquired within the preceding three (3) years as Pilot in command time in Jet Aircraft and 250 hours are at night and 75 hours of actual or simulated instructor time with at least 50 hours in actual flight (14 CFR 61.159)
- Must have at least 500 hours of turbojet experience with at least 100 hours turbojet flight time in the past 12 calendar months, 50 hours of which must have been in a turbojet aircraft or level C or D simulator within the last 12 calendar months.
- Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- Must complete an annual check ride IAW 14 CFR 61.58 with an FAA approved designated examiner or training center evaluator.
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) in a timely manner.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access worksite location to include various military installations and airports to meet customer operational requirements.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university.
- Prior Instructor Pilot in the US Military.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Flexibility to work irregular hours. Work is primarily Monday through Friday, with 2 to 3 days of flying 5-hour missions per week. There will be some weekends required and some overnight flights. All flights are CONUS.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including flight bags and operational equipment.
- Sufficient strength and dexterity to operate aircraft controls and emergency systems.
- Good vision (correctable to 20/20) and hearing, as required by FAA standards.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while supporting flight operations.
- Capability to pass a rigorous medical examination, including cardiovascular and respiratory health assessments.
- Primarily onboard aircraft with periods in airport terminals and operational facilities.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
