The Position

Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit Leader, Molecular Diagnostics & Pathology

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for P&L management of the Commercial Operations Business Area for Molecular and Pathology Labs for the US market in Roche Diagnostics Corporation (RDC) and for developing, directing, and ensuring successful development and execution of its vision and strategy. This position is responsible for driving organic top line growth, leading new business development opportunities, and achieving optimal business performance in addition to demonstrating and instilling leadership values across the Molecular and Pathology organization and RDC. This position partners with Roche Diagnostics colleagues regionally and globally to secure the long-term success of the business as well as Roche Diagnostics. Direct report to the CEO of Roche Diagnostic Corporation and is a member of the U.S. Leadership Team (USLT). Develops and drives a culture that is committed to transparency, collaboration, compliance and quality.

Provides senior level direction and guidance for a significant organization or part of the business; responsible for multiple functions, departments, and/or geographic marketplaces. Sets strategic vision and direction; develops an implements strategic plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with corporate strategy. Typically has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and approving changes to methods and practices for assigned business area. Decisions impact the entire Division.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for P&L management of the Molecular and Pathology Lab business unit and developing, directing, and ensuring successful development and execution of its vision and strategy. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of strategies across the business area to ensure a synergistic and winning approach. Responsible for driving organic top line growth and achieving optimal business performance.
* Responsible for the development and management of business area leaders. Assesses resource capacity and capabilities to ensure strong alignment with business and/or financial objectives. Responsible for demonstrating and instilling leadership values.
* Leads the new business development function that identifies and assesses new business opportunities, and drives these opportunities to fruition.
* Partners with Roche Diagnostic colleagues both globally and locally to secure the long-term success of the business for the region and division.
* Ensures the Roche Diagnostics Quality Policy is understood, implemented and maintained in all levels of the organization. Establishes and maintains an adequate organizational structure, provides adequate resources and actively participates in management reviews to ensure the Roche Diagnostics quality system is suitable and effective to satisfy regulatory requirements and the company's quality policy and objectives. Directs the quality planning process to drive continuous improvements and changes of the Roche Diagnostics quality system to ensure ongoing effectiveness and efficiency. Develops and drives a work culture committed to compliance, quality and customer focus.

WHO YOU ARE:

* Bachelor's degree
* 10+ years applicable experience in an executive leadership role
* General Management experience
* Commercial P&L management experience
* Proven track record
* Ability to effectively lead and manage in a highly competitive global environment.
* Knowledge and experience in strategic planning, business planning, finance, and operations management.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire assigned
business units.
* Visionary thinker with the ability to think in a positive and creative manner.
* Highly effective communication, administrative and management skills.
* Exceptional knowledge of applicable local, state and national regulatory agency guidelines, including FDA.
* Requires ability to champion quality improvement initiatives.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana Base Pay Range $362,320 - $475,545 Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance, as well as participation in a long-term incentive program.
