Leads the build out, development, and management of a team of developers, who will establish and help in building and maintaining systems, platforms and tools. They rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers both internal and external. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team in the development of a pioneering technology platform that will power innovative financial experiences. This role will work closely with key business partners and product leaders in the fintech space to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable solutions. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a multi-functional team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business collaborators and product leaders to define and prioritize the development of new financial technology features and capabilities.
- Supervise the end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
- Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of the platform, ensuring it supports seamless financial experiences and aligns with company goals.
- Ensure alignment between engineering efforts and key business objectives, translating product vision into actionable engineering plans.
- Lead resource allocation, timelines, and project landmarks, ensuring successful delivery within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Continuously assess and improve development processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
- Build strong relationships with business partners, providing technical guidance and ensuring their needs are addressed throughout the development cycle.
- Promote a high standard of engineering excellence, ensuring code quality, security, and scalability standard methodologies are followed.
- Leverage a deep understanding of technical integrations with internal platforms and third-party services, ensuring seamless and reliable connectivity while holding integration partners to high standards of performance, security, and reliability.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years proven experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering management role leading cross-functional teams, preferably in the fintech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering sophisticated technology platforms in fintech, driving innovation in financial products and services.
- Experience in driving technical integrations with internal platforms and third-party systems, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and scalability within the fintech ecosystem.
- Strong background in agile development methodologies, with the ability to prioritize and manage different projects while maintaining a focus on quality and delivery timelines.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with business customers and product leaders to align engineering efforts with strategic business goals in fintech.
- Expertise in developing and implementing scalable solutions that support new financial products or services, with an emphasis on user-centric design and regulatory compliance in fintech.
- Experience handling and growing high-performance teams, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Strong technical skills in modern software development stacks, cloud technologies, microservices architectures, and fintech-specific tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical partners and executives within the financial services industry.

Base Pay Range: $136,600 - $246,300
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
