Surgical Tech, Full Time, Day shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist surgeons and registered nurses by performing routine, technical, and related duties during surgical operations. To provide safe and competent care to all patients in a variety of age groups and function effectively with a variety of patient physical and emotional disabilities.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Surgical Technology Program.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years OR experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
CST and member of the Association of Surgical Technologist preferred. CPR Certification required. Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, effectively solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
