Job DescriptionSummary: Codes and enters vendor invoices. Processes accounts payable check run. Makes electronic payments via electronic fund transfer (EFT). Performs data entry and provides general clerical support tasks for the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This job requires, on an as needed basis, coding and entering vendor invoices, answering vendor related questions concerning payments and outstanding invoices, entering production data, processing hourly payrolls, customer billing, giving breaks on the switchboard for the receptionist and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. This job requires participating in bi-monthly pipe inventories, annual storeroom and finished goods physical inventories. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus 1 years of accounting experience or an associate degree in accounting; or equivalent combination of related experience and/or education or training. Computer Skills: Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, MS Office programs and applications for word processing, email, database management and spreadsheets. Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business information. Communicates effectively orally and in writing. Mathematical Skills: Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
