College Relations Job Description

Essential Functions

70% Content Maintenance and Updates:

Responds to a variety of web-related requests from across the college. Updates and maintains time-sensitive material and monitor pages for outdated material, inaccuracies, broken links and compliance with policies on standards and accessibility. Develops and maintains Drupal webforms, including maintenance and configuration of payment enabled forms.

10% Project Assistance:
Assists with web project management and issue resolution communications between College Relations, other College website stakeholders, ITS and external vendors. Tests and reviews updated sites for issues and elevates issues to the attention of the Senior Web Developer and Systems Engineer. Supports Digital Strategy and Creative Services team in responding to client and user inquiries, comments and suggestions.

15% Supports Electronic Communications

Supports building and sending of Salesforce based email communications. Collaborates with other members of the Digital Strategy and Creative Services team on content, layout, design and reporting.

5% Web Performance / Accessibility Monitoring + Testing

Assists in monitoring and reporting on website performance, including accessibility compliance, leveraging analytics programs (Siteimprove and Google Analytics). Assists Digital Strategy and Creative Services team with updating the website to address issues.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIRED Qualifications (education, experience, certifications, licenses, knowledge, skills)

1 to 5 years of relevant experience:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Show a sense of urgency, responsiveness, and strong organizational ability; keep projects on schedule and ensure deadlines are met.

  • High standard of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational skills.

  • Able to effectively communicate and coordinate directly with IT staff and vendors.

  • Positive customer service orientation and work ethic; good relationship management skills and a good team player.

  • Creative, enthusiastic and strategic with an ability to suggest improvements.

  • Flexibility to revise ideas with input from team members and other College partners.

  • A good mix of technical and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics and Siteimprove) and reporting. Keep up-to-date with trends.

  • Experience with Salesforce Account Engagement Email.

  • Experience with vendor communications.

  • Understanding of what makes a compelling, functional, rich, and relevant website that adheres to college brand and communications objectives.

  • Familiarity with website development; General programming experience; familiarity with HTML, CSS, and inline-styles for email communications, a plus.

Additional Information

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule after an initial fully in-person onboarding period.
