Aggregates Plant Operator - Night Shift

Job Description:

• Responsible for the operation of an Aggregates plant as directed by supervision and for the coordination of the activities relating to safety, maintenance and production of the processing operation

** This role is Night Shift **

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
• Operate the plant within the general operating and production guidelines for the plant as determined by management.
• Operate within the general mining plan.
• Record and maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
• Oversee the general maintenance of the plant in the areas including:
  • Conveyor inspection and maintenance
  • Sump inspection and maintenance
  • Screen inspection and maintenance
  • Electrical needs (including lighting)
  • Crusher inspection and maintenance
  • Water pump inspection and maintenance
  • Greasing and lubrication
  • Report all quality issues to supervisor
• Oversee appearance and housekeeping of the plant and grounds area.
• Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance manager.
• Report all mining issues directly to Plant Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with processing plant operations
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in Contruction Aggregate, and mining is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, memorandums, safety and hazard labels, etc.
• Have corrected eyesight, color vision, depth perception, hearing and balance acceptable for safe operation of mobile equipment.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• General computer skills
• Knowledge of all related safety guidelines and procedures.
• General mechanical skills.
