This position supports our Calibration Solutions business. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing. Job Summary The Quality Control (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards through comprehensive testing, analysis, and improvement initiatives. This role involves more advanced quality assurance activities than the associate role and requires a deeper understanding of quality systems, methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Duties/Responsibilities Advanced Testing and Inspection: * Conduct detailed testing and inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. * Utilize advanced testing methods and equipment. Data Analysis: * Analyze test results and data to identify trends, defects, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and make data-driven recommendations. Issue Resolution: * Investigate and resolve complex quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Process Improvement: * Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and product quality. Compliance: * Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Prepare for and support internal and external audits. Collaboration: * Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and facilitate effective problem resolution. Documentation: * Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions. Training and Mentorship: * Provide guidance and support to junior quality assurance staff. Assist in training new team members on quality procedures and best practices. Customer Interaction: * Address customer complaints and feedback related to quality, working to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction. Experience/Education * Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Knowledge and Skillsets Required * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in quality management systems and tools (e.g., QMS, SPC, Minitab). * Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. * Familiarity with compliance software and tools. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. * Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Physical Demands * Sitting: Often for extended periods at desks or meetings. * Standing or walking: Occasionally for meetings or office tasks. * Using computers: Typing and using office equipment. * Lifting: Light, less than 10 pounds. * Repetitive motions: Frequent use of keyboard and mouse. Environmental Conditions * Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort. * Lighting: Adjustable lighting to reduce eye strain. * Noise Levels: The noise level is moderate, with occasional interruptions from phone calls and conversations. Use non-canceling headphones if necessary. * Ergonomics: Workstations with desk and adjustable chairs to support good postures. * Ventilation: Good ventilation to ensure a comfortable working environment, though this can vary depending on the building.
