*Description*
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Specialist to provide planning, testing consultation, and hands-on support. This role involves evaluating architectural designs, determining risks associated with technology designs and usage, and managing vendor engagements. The BCDR Specialist will work closely with a small team to lead the program for all regulatory disaster recovery plans and runbooks. This person should have a technical background. *Top Skills and Qualifications:* * 5-7+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. * Strong technical background with the ability to engage in technical conversations and drive the development of effective recovery plans. * Experience working with seasoned technical experts to build comprehensive recovery plans. * Technical understanding to challenge and validate technical solutions with application owners. * Ability to understand and document application components, including server names, IP addresses, application interdependencies, and criticality. *Technical Skills:* * Proficiency with AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and Route 53. * Knowledge of disaster recovery tools such as Cohesity for data backups, Infinidat, Site Recovery Manager, F5, and AWS Resilience Hub. *Preferred Candidates:* * One strong cloud-based candidate with experience in AWS. * One strong on-prem candidate with experience in on-premises disaster recovery solutions. *Key Responsibilities:* *Provide expert consultation on business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing. *Evaluate architectural designs and assess risks associated with technology designs and usage. *Collaborate with a team to spearhead the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and runbooks. *Ensure each application has a disaster recovery plan and runbook, and conduct thorough testing. *Support the migration from existing on-prem data centers to AWS or new on-prem data centers in Ashburn, VA, and Chicago, IL. *Certification Preference:* *CBCP, Certified Business Continuity Professional *CDRP, Certified Disaster Recovery Professional *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
