The Logistics Technician II is located at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) and Army Testing Evaluation Command (ATC) in Aberdeen, Maryland. This role will support a focus on Logistics Support Tasks to include but not limited to Equipment/Maintenance Management, and Property Management support.
- Assists in performing technical work. Work requires ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures, and techniques.
- Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures.
- Provides support to include equipment management, inventory control, property accountability, issuing and receiving weapons, warehousing, receiving, shipping, packaging and transportation.
- Operates and updates computerized logistic systems such as windows 11 or specific software.
- Assists in planning, coordinating and conducting logistics projects as assigned.
- May assist in preparing reports, schedules, and milestones.
- Participates in audit teams to conduct inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with logistics regulations.
- Gathers data; analyzes and assists in interpreting data and reports.
- May assist in developing and conducting various logistics training.
- Review and understand Internal Operating Procedures (IOP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Participates in meetings regarding logistics concerns related to the assigned projects.
- May need to update and maintain inventory records.
- Interfaces with the APO, Assistant APO team, Chief of Logistics and Logistics management as needed.
- May manage accountability of durable items.
- Signs for and delivers supplies and material to end users.
- Identifies excess and unserviceable items and processes for turn-in.
- Locates and moves materials to specified production or storage areas.
- Records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand for inventory purposes.
- Performs daily housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment free of debris, trash and other hazards.
- Performs other contract related work as assigned.
Education |
- High School diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate.

Experience |
- Three (3) years of applicable experience in the appropriate logistical functional area pertinent to the position (Equipment Management, Maintenance Management, Property Management); or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate's Degree and one (1) year applicable experience pertinent to the position; or 30 credit hours and two (2) years applicable experience pertinent to the position; or completion of a formal training program of at least 30 days in duration and one (1) year of applicable experience pertinent to the position.

- Must have current/valid drivers' license.
- Must have proof of U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and software to perform work (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general office equipment.
- Practice high standards of personal hygiene and maintain a clean, net appearance while on duty.
- Comply with dress code applicable to facility and location being supported as well ensure ID, badges and credentials are clearly visible while on duty.
