- Strategic Client Acquisition (30%): Identify and target key enterprise clients within North America, focusing on corporations that can benefit from SAE's Information Products, including standards, technical papers, journals, and books. Build a robust pipeline of strategic leads by understanding client needs and proposing customized solutions.
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification (15%): Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Leverage this analysis, along with client feedback, to pinpoint whitespace opportunities where SAE's information products can drive value. Target industries, sectors, and client groups with unmet needs for SAE's Standards, technical papers, journals, and books.
- Sales Strategy Development, Team Collaboration & Contract Negotiation (15%): Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals, aligning sales objectives with organizational growth plans in collaboration with senior management. Mentor and collaborate with the sales team to foster a cooperative environment that drives team success. Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring compliance with company policies while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Relationship Management (10%): Cultivate and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers within corporate organizations. Proactively engage existing clients to enhance the depth and breadth of their engagement with all of SAE's products, programs, and services, ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Product Knowledge & Customization (10%): Maintain in-depth knowledge of SAE's information products and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that align with specific corporate client needs.
- Sales Reporting and Performance (10%): Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management, offering insights and actionable recommendations to improve performance and drive strategic decision-making.
- Networking & Industry Leadership (10%): Represent SAE at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to build contacts, generate leads, and enhance the organization's reputation
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Enterprise Sales Experience, 6 years enterprise sales required, 10 years preferred.
- Experience in professional development domain.
- Proven experience in enterprise sales, preferably in the aerospace and/or ground vehicle industries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Established network in automotive and aerospace industry preferred.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales reporting tools, SalesForce.com preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to work for long periods at a computer/desk
- Standard office environment
