GOVERNMENT AGENCY/PROGRAM: DOJ Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Fusion Center IT Support Services

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position

LOCATION: Merrifield, VA area; 2675 Prosperity Ave, Fairfax, VA 20598

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Minimum of an active Secret clearance, required

The Department of Justice (DOJ) Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) requires technical support services for the implementation and continuing support of enterprise-wide software development related activities for systems used by the OCDETF Fusion Center (OFC), the International Organized Crime Intelligence and Operations Center (IOC-2), and the OCDETF Executive Office.



Responsibilities

    Maintenance of OCDETF software systems through ongoing software development tasks, including O&M of complex, interconnected legacy systems operating on multiple networks and spanning classification domains.
  • Design and implement selected enhancements to classified and unclassified system software.
  • Oversee the design, architecture, and developmentof software applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issuesand provide guidance on resolution.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidanceto junior and mid-level developers.
  • Ensure the team meets deadlines and deliverablesthrough effective sprint planning and agile methodologies.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesto ensure smooth team operations.
  • Perform all activities under an appropriate enterprise Agile methodology.
  • Design and implement software through all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements elicitation and definition; design; coding; debugging; verification and testing; and maintenance of deployed software.
  • Perform continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of software systems. Contractor shall ensure all software development and systems engineering efforts incorporate information security requirements throughout the SDLC.


Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of an active Secret security clearance; ITC can cage higher level clearances.
  • At least 15 years of previous experience as a software developer, including as the lead developer on at least three major software projects that utilized Microsoft C# and Java technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience on at least 2 major projects designing and maintaining an intuitive, powerful front end to quickly search and match data and attributes across large structured and unstructured databases with an intuitive graphical user interface.
  • Experience addressing performance and scalability issues related to large data sets.
  • Possesses relevant Agile development certification(s), such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience with any of the following is strongly desired: XML, Python, R and other statistical and data analysis platforms, jQuery, rich web interface frameworks such as Bootstrap and Angular, and application programming interfaces (APIs) to include web services such as SOAP and REST
  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement customers or DOJ agencies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
