GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) seeks an enthusiastic and passionate program manager for the Broaden and Build California Health Workforce program (hereafter "Broaden and Build"). Broaden and Build is a 4-year initiative that aims to create a pathway for high school students and other displaced workers into the health workforce. The program is especially interested in supporting students and others from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure the health workforce of tomorrow better represents the population it serves. Broaden and Build is funded by the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) (Grant #HPPP-0001227) and is implemented in partnership with ProCareer Academy. The program manager, under the Broaden and Build principal investigator and CHHS associate dean of research, oversees day-to-day operations in four key areas:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In consultation with the Broaden and Build Principal Investigator, the project manager will: 1. Manage an annual sub-contractual agreement.
2. Coordinate events to expose eligible participants to the Broaden and Build program.
3. Develop procedures and materials to support Broaden and Build participants' entrance into SJSU health career degree programs.
4. Lead the Spartan Health Ambassadors program, an interprofessional community of practice for health students.
5. Perform other duties as assigned. INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
