We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Wichita, KS office.

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function within the operating unit. This role oversees benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt positions, including screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks, extending job offers, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, life status changes, COBRA, leave-of-absence requests, disability paperwork (medical, personal, disability, and FMLA), and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
  • Maintain employee benefits records and filing systems.
  • Manage unemployment claims and represent the company in telephone hearings.
  • Prepare and conduct monthly "Mahaney Monday" meetings.
  • Plan and coordinate company events and employee appreciation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Position Requirements
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years' experience administering and implementing human resource programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, establish trust, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Customer-service oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and objectivity while handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Energize workplace culture by implementing creative initiatives that boost team morale and collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
