I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Creates and maintains required documentation for compliance with Joint Commission, Federal, State, and local regulations.
2. Reviews pertinent correspondence, communications, and other background materials daily to remain current on required compliance and standards.
3. Generates and tracks monthly preventive maintenance work orders and monitors the equipment database as it maintains to regulatory compliance.
4. Assists with project development activities including but not limited to compiling data, drafting reports, and assisting with special projects.
5. Maintains project plans and produces related project reports.
6. Compiles and analyzes data and drafts project reports for review by senior staff.
7. Initiates and maintains contact with stakeholders including staff, leaders across areas and external parties.
8. Keeps management apprised of project details and changes.

2. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
3. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
4. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
5. Respects diverse views and approaches demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
6. Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
7. Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. High School diploma.

Preferred:
1. Associates degree.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. One-year experience coordinating and planning projects.
2. Previous experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, often under stressful circumstances.
5. Must be detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently.

Preferred:
1. Specialized business office training.
2. Previous experience working in a facilities service's environment.
3. Experience with Joint Commission and other healthcare-related regulatory agencies.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
