Job Summary

The Contract Compliance Analyst is required to follow all the policies and procedures as set forth in the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) Facilities Manual, all applicable statutes, and Regental policies, UCSF Health policies, and departmental procedures for the B2GNow System. The Contract Compliance Analyst will perform analysis and evaluation of contracts input into B2GNow. This will include: verification of contract uploads, contract payments, monthly and quarterly reporting, and system audits.

Demonstrates professional skills as an experienced compliance professional by communicating clearly and making sound decisions.Demonstrates good understanding of the B2GNow system and thorough attention to detail to achieve UCSF Real Estate goals.

This position will work with the Director, Small Business Program and Supplier Relationships on the administration of the B2GNow system.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $61,200 - $130,600 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The organization of UCSF Real Estate is focused on the development, planning, delivery, and management ofphysical space for UCSF. Key responsibilities include a unified approach to oversee the active UCSF growth planned on a multi-site campus and to manage the complex metropolitan environments affecting capitalassets andprojects and efforts to align municipal challenges with maximum effectiveness in support of the UCSF mission.

UCSF Real Estate is an integrated unit that enables the alignment of development, planning, design, construction, and management of facilities and a lease portfolio of 1M square feet across UCSF. Services are provided through the following departments: Building Permit Services, Campus Design and Construction, Campus Planning, Construction Contract Administration, Health Design and Construction, Health Major Capital Projects, Real Estate Services, Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland Capital Program Management and support through Business Intelligence, and Finance, Administration and Operations.

The department's Small Business Program enhances equal opportunity for design & construction firms, suppliers, and businesses interested in doing business with UCSF Real Estate, especially those businesses that are small and local.

The combined UCSF Campus and Health organizations include approximately 198 UCSF and 38 contract personnel; operating/recharge budgets of more than $52.2M per year; current year capital project expenditures of $900M; and oversight and responsibility for > $13.3B long-range capital development.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in field of construction property development, property management, real estate, architecture, engineering, public administration, law, finance and or risk management.
  • Thorough knowledge of internal departmental / unit operating policies, applicable state and federal regulations, and general contract terms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; and ability to deal effectively with broad and diverse constituencies, ensuring strong customer service orientation and skills.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong listening and political acumen skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of personal computer (Windows NT platform) and compatible financial management, database spreadsheet, Internet, email, and word-processing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships, and to work as a team member when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and / or eq BA in Business, Public or Contract Administration, or JD or equivalent years of experience. Significant knowledge of contract design, bidding and contract administration process preferred.
  • Knowledge of architectural and construction terminology.
  • Knowledge of University of California contracting policy and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of the organization, including its infrastructure, goals, mission, rules, policies, guidelines, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of B2GNow System.
