| Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. has an opening for a Sr. Software Engineer in Dallas, TX. Duties are to design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and systems lead technical projects from inception to deployment, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level developers on best practices for software development. Work with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement new features. Contribute to the design and architecture of software applications and systems. Write high-quality code that meets industry standards and is maintainable over time. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure the quality of software. Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during development, testing, and deployment. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering. Participate in agile software development processes, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. Collaborate with other senior engineers and architects to define technical strategies and roadmaps. Deploy and monitor application to public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field plus 4 years' experience as Software Developer, Software Engineer, or a role/capacity engaged in software development with experience in the following: one or more programming languages (JavaScript and React), in utilizing software development methodologies (Agile), with software development tools (Git, Jira, and Jenkins), with completing software development projects focused on web applications with specialization in B2C or B2B, with distributed systems and microservices architecture & leading technical projects and teams; and 3 years of experience utilizing cloud-based platforms and services and with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).
