Overview

The purpose of this job is to support the Financial Control Manager as assigned or requested in managing and coordinating any of the daily and cyclical processes, functions and activities pertaining to all client and house account cash control, including control of funds payment, receipt and sweep functions, and the daily net settlement of funds within accounts and between operational intermediaries. The job supports the assurance that fees are calculated, collected, recorded and reconciled in a timely, accurate and complete manner. Support the supervisor's roles of accounting, financial management, budget reporting, and profitability analysis processes associated with Tailored Wealth activities. This job is a member of a team that serves to assist with incoming call center/E-mail box inquiries and responds with appropriate fulfillment or escalation to management.



Responsibilities

    As assigned or requested, support the assurance that proper cash procedures and controls are adhered to, including control of funds payment, receipt and sweep functions the assurance that client and house account cash positions and activity occurs in a timely, accurate and complete manner, and that all cash position or activity exceptions are quickly researched, corrected or escalated to the manager.
  • As assigned or requested, support the assurance that fee packages are properly assigned to accounts or account groups. Support the monitoring and testing of the accuracy of fee calculations, and proper posting to the client accounts and to the general ledger, and assure the discovery and resolution of any exceptions that may occur in a timely complete, and accurate manner, or are quickly escalated to the manager. Support and communicate with all Wealth Management associates, with the understanding of fee methods and processes.
  • Support the team responsibilities for ensuring that incoming internal or external telephone, journal, and E-mail inquiries are properly fulfilled in a timely, accurate, and complete manner, or escalated to the manager.
  • Continuously develop personal subject matter expertise on the characteristics of fee generation processes, cash control processes, and client support.
  • Assure that accurate and timely GL entries are posted, and support supervisor's financial management reporting functions such as cost allocation and financial analysis. Perform processes to support budgeting for Tailored Wealth.
  • Support the Financial Control Manager and the Wealth Management Firm Operations Manager as assigned or requested for unit projects, or operational events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a business related field plus 3 years of experience in a role pertaining to financial operations, particularly cash control in a financial institution;
    -or-
    Bachelor's Degree in business related field plus 1 year of experience in a role pertaining to financial operations, or securities industry related business
  • General accounting, including aspects of debits and credits, cash payment and receipt methods, and reconciling balances
  • Working knowledge of securities and their different characteristics
  • Working knowledge of trust accounting and fee application practices
  • Time management principles to prioritize workload
  • Propensity to achieve high client service levels
  • Interpersonal and interdepartmental collaboration skills
  • Communication skills (oral and written)
  • PC, PC application, and data reporting skills
  • E-mail and Internet skills
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to make decisions
  • Must complete and comprehend SEI PLATO training assigned for role, especially towards becoming a BOXI reporting and fee processing subject matter expert
  • Must pass basic Microsoft Word and Excel tests
  • Expectation of proficiency in spreadsheet and word applications
  • Prior attainment of a FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, etc. preferred
  • Certified Securities Operations Professional ("CSOP") preferred
  • Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist ("CFIRS") preferred
  • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor ("CTFA") preferred
  • Graduate from Cannon Financial Schools, Southern Trust School or Northern Trust School preferred
  • DTCC Learning Certifications preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
