* Base Pay Range: $56,597 - $89,419 per year, based on experience
The Manager, Environmental Services will manage the operational, financial, and personnel activities of the Environmental Services Department. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of quality services. Confer with physicians and other departmental managers to resolve operational problems and promote two-way communications and good guest relations with the patients, staff, and public. Manage the department Patient Experience program. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures consistent with the MU Health Care Mission and Goals. Instruct and advise staff on changes in policies, procedures, or work routines. Monitor departmental operations and objectives to ensure the most effective services are provided. Ensure that all new employees meet and maintain the departmental criteria and are aligned with the MU Health Care Mission and Goals. Working with subordinate supervisory staff, ensure all employees are meeting job performance expectations. Maintain and make changes as necessary to workload standards and submit reports to respective leader. Monitor the use of supplies and equipment and prepare a monthly request list including the purchase of supplies. Advise departments regarding draperies, carpets, and floor coverings. Plan, assign, and review through support supervisors, the work of the staff in the environmental services department. Guide the support supervisors on matters relating to the operations of the department and the direction of the staff. Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care. Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Five (5) years of related experience. Two (2) years of experience in housekeeping supervision and facility maintenance operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
