We are seeking a Account Manager - Service Sales & Business Development for our Louisville office.
The Account Manager will build strong relationships within their territory to meet or beat revenue goals. The main focus is bringing in new business by finding and developing solid leads while understanding what customers need. At the same time, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to keep work steady and build long-term partnerships.
Job Functions:
- Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned
- Identify and capture new business opportunities and develop new relationships with prospective clients to expand sales revenue and market share within assigned territory
- Conduct cold calls, face-to-face visits and presentations with clients and prospects in specific market segments
- Develop intelligence and background information on prospects, in order to develop targeted presentations which address the prospective client's needs
- Track all customers, prospects, opportunities and all sales activity
- Develop an understanding of competitors' products and actions to promote a competitive edge
- Provide follow-up to clients to ensure satisfaction with the Company's products and services provided
- Identify and capture market/client trends and communicate findings to management
- Continuously improve knowledge of roofing industry by keeping abreast of changes in the market
- Participate in sales meetings and training and engage in local and regional associations as warranted
- Track and report weekly sales activities to include brief discussion outlines.
- Keep an individual record of service calls related to on-boarded customers in the territory executed in the preceding week.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 3 - 5 years sales experience in commercial roofing or a construction related field
- Demonstrated success in sales, a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results
- Knowledge and ability to communicate the JB Roofing's strengths and value propositions as the preferred provider of roof solutions
- Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone
- Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust
- Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
- Problem solving ability so that appropriate solutions can be offered to meet client's needs
- Comfortable with using computer systems to track data, including strong analytical abilities to assess data collected
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet program, including strong analytical abilities
- Documentation skills
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and contract documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the client's and Tecta's organization
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
