CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Stocker Lister/Quality Control to join our Commercial & Institutional - Fire Protection Services Team at our Birmingham, AL office.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA offers highly specialized fire protection engineering services and cutting-edge solutions to address the most challenging fire risks. Our approach involves adapting strategies and solutions to meet the ever-changing demands of buildings and the environment, while promoting safety and efficiency.

The Stock Lister/Quality Control position is responsible for conducting design and constructability quality control reviews for various contract and construction drawings within our Fire Sprinkler Design Team. Additionally, this individual will generate a comprehensive stock list to produce a bill of materials for quotation.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective project execution by working closely with the design team across multiple projects. Throughout the design process, the professional in this role will maintain ongoing collaboration with the design team and Construction Superintendent to ensure alignment with customer requirements, fabricators, and field staff. Periodic field surveys may also be required.

REQUIREMENTS

    High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of fire protection design or installation experience required
  • NICET Level II Certification preferred
  • Valid drivers' license is required
  • Proficient with discipline-based software (AutoCAD, HydroCAD, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of NFPA standards, codes, and fire protection systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Some travel (5-10%) may be required


SALARY RANGE:

$82,000 - $97,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
