AESC is looking to add an FP&A Analyst to our team in Smyrna, TN.

  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid
  • Onsite 2-3 days per week

AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational since 2012, produces batteries for Nissan. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. About the Role

The FP&A analyst has responsibility for financial aspects of the US operation. This includes Accounting, PF&R (Planning, Forecasting and Reporting) and Business Strategy. These responsibilities include reporting to the FP&A Manager, Finance, interacting with Operations Management and supporting Executive Management (including Corporate CFO).

What You Will Do
  • Manage budget and forecast requests.
  • Compare monthly Financial Results to budget and forecasts.
  • Review monthly Financial Results with Management and Corporate Finance.
  • Support tracking and reporting of cost reduction initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external and internal auditors performing audit of financial results and providing consulting services.
  • As necessary, perform other related duties of which above are representative.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business discipline in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5 or more years of related experience at a professional level.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with basic knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices with good knowledge of financial statement preparation; strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce standard and non-standard, creative products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and effective communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to function without supervision; exercise initiative using sound judgment and react with discretion under varying conditions.
  • Experienced in prioritize and manage multiple assignments with the ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to develop and establish efficiency through process improvements and automation

What is "Nice to Have"?

  • MBA, CPA, and CMA strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to work with multiple different types of personalities and handle stressful situations.
Travel

Occasional day or overnight travel.
