Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an Entry Level Configuration Management Analyst with development experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and help support our customers. This position is fully remote. The qualified candidate must be willing to work swing shift schedule (4pm - Midnight).

What will you do:

    Establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by department personnel and other participating functions to ensure a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements
  • Analyzes changes to product specifications to determine the effect on the end product and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change control.
  • Designs and establishes configuration management documentation
  • Authorizes the release of drawings, schedules and system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the Request for Change process
  • Operates configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control,
  • reporting, and auditing
  • Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable
  • May develop configuration standards for company-wide use.
  • Works with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (e.g. Ansible )
  • Implement and conduct software configuration management (CM) and version control of multiple programs in IBM
  • Utilize ENDEVOR, and established IRS-approved procedures and practices to process and stage


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
  • Proficiency in the navigation and use of MS-Windows and familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands (College Coursework acceptable)
  • Exposure to SharePoint and/or MS Teams
  • Experience in MS-Windows, and UNIX client/server environments
  • Must be either a S. Citizen or s a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green card Holder with a minimum 3 years of residency in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance (MBI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of software configuration management concepts, industry practices and standards
  • Experience with Ansible, DevOps, DevSecOps and Cloud Computing
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Perl, PHP, PowerShell, )
  • Familiarization of GIT, GITHUB, Nexus, ServiceNow, M365, SharePoint, PowerApps etc
  • Exposure to Unisys-SQUA, CMplus,
  • Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications
  • Active MBI or higher-level clearance

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
