Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. Apply for this Job Posting Details Job ID: 157215 Rank: Assistant Professor College/School: Chicago, IL - College of Science and Health Responsibilities: The School of Nursing in the College of Science and Health at DePaul University seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The BSN program was established in 2021. This position provides a 10-month appointment with a start date of September 1, 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Job Responsibilities Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Vincentian higher education Providing didactic and clinical instruction of nursing students primarily in the BSN program Engaging in course development, updating and submission of course syllabi in required format, assessment of student outcomes, research and development of resources for instruction, and utilization and development of instructional design methods that include technology Serving as lead faculty for main courses and mentor adjunct faculty Maintaining active and productive scholarship, including a research agenda and dissemination Advising undergraduate students Serving on school and college committees Demonstrating leadership at the school and/or college level DePaul's School of Nursing offers BSN, Master's Entry into Nursing Practice, MSN-specialty, RNMSN (online), DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the qualifications, education, experience, and training of the selected candidate, the scope and responsibilities of the position, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. About DePaul University's Academic Calendar: Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams). Salary Information: The salary range for this 10-month position is $80,600 - $93,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
