Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Sugar Land team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical service and equipment design, redesign, and upgrade of laboratory testing equipment, including high-pressure and high-temperature equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical service and support for laboratory testing equipment.
  • Design, redesign, and upgrade laboratory testing equipment, ensuring compliance with high-pressure and high-temperature requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for laboratory instrumentation.
  • Conduct performance testing and validation of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment design and development, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of high-pressure and high-temperature equipment design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) some familiarity with the use of Labview and CFD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LabView programming and automation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols for laboratory equipment.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
