Requisition ID req32590 Working Title Nurse Educator Position Grade 15 Position Summary The Division of Adolescent Medicine in the UNM Department of Pediatrics is hiring a full-time Nurse Educator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) funded NOWS-NM Training Initiative: Optimizing Care for Neonates at Risk for Opiate Withdrawal Syndrome project. This position requires specialized neonatal nursing experience, expertise in evidence-based NOWS care protocols (e.g., Eat, Sleep, and Console), and experience training healthcare providers on best practices for caring for infants with NOWS. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating evidence-based training for healthcare providers, developing educational materials and protocols, supporting quality improvement (QI) methodology, research management, and regulatory reporting (e.g., funding agencies, IRB). Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in Nursing; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Certification/Licensure: State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multi-state privilege to practice compact with New Mexico. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
