Salary:

At Signode, we recognize and reward talent. This role offers a competitive annual salary plus a 10% bonus target, with starting pay determined by your experience, qualifications, and skillset.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Engineering Manager with a strong background in electrical systems to lead and manager Engineering operations at our Florence facility. This role is responsible for overseeing plant infrastructure, electrical systems, maintenance strategies, and capital projects to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage capital projects from concept through execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and production teams to identify areas for process optimization, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction. Implement improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment and operational issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to the production process, often with assistance of Process Engineers.
  • Ensure all operations and equipment adhere to safety regulations and standards. Implement safety protocols and guidelines to minimize workplace hazards and ensure team compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to maintain and enhance product quality. Identify defects and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Process Engineers.
  • Ensure the manufacturing facility complies with environmental regulations and promotes sustainable and eco-friendly practices, with input and support from Process Engineers.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, equipment specifications, and other relevant data. Ensure that Process Engineers also maintain records pertinent to their responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in plant engineering or industrial maintenance, with a strong electrical focus.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, PLC, motor controls, and industrial automation.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with capital projects.
