The Impact You'll Make

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.

In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of the Global Products Engineering team.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for a wide variety of mechatronic products.
  • Manage MBOMs and maintain reporting systems for traceability of manufacturing operations.
  • Interface with design engineering to provide feedback for the manufacturability of new product designs based on results from DFMA, PFMEA, serviceability, safety, ergonomics, and modularity analyses.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that impact quality, yield, cost, and throughput.
  • Perform root cause investigation and recommend corrective actions to address manufacturing quality escapes, bottlenecks, and excess material consumption.
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience; or 2 years with a Master's degree
  • Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electromechanical assemblies.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in DFMA with approach to structured problem solving and decision making.
  • Experience in Engineering Change Management Process.
  • Working knowledge in work instructions, process planning and Bill of Materials management.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies as they apply to Low volume/high mix products.
  • Experience with 3D modeling; Dassault, NX, CREO, SOLIDWORKS training strongly preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.#LI-SG1

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $70,000.00 -$155,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
